Heike Talbert was born in Germany where she studied the Arts at the Waldorf School. She was exposed to a wide variety of Art through her studies, to include drawing, painting, wood/stone and clay  sculpting. She has trained and taken workshops under accomplished artists like Guido Frick, Carolyn Anderson and Barry Thomas. She won the purchase award at Big Cedar Lodge, where her painting was chosen to be a wine label. Her work is displayed at the governors mansion in Little Rock Arkansas. Reproductions of her contemporary works can be found in the executive suites of the Marriott Hotel in downtown Little Rock. Heike resides in Arkansas with her family where she continues to work with oils and acrylics. Heike's favorite medium is oil. She loves to travel in her Airstream trailer to find true "Plein air" settings for inspiration.
